Chris White was born in Australia in the mid-eighties and grew up in Tokyo, Japan.

He returned to Australia to attended Nudgee College and still calls Australia home.

After writing fiction with his mouth for the most part of his life, he began writing Beat Poetry with friends in high school which kickstarted his love affair with the English language.

Chris wanted to be a pirate or R2-D2 when he grew up, but now works in a restaurant and writes flash fiction on his breaks.

He is a father to three and husband to one.

Chris’ work spans genres from Slice of Life, Magic Realism and Science Fiction to readable Literary Fiction.

He would love for you to comment on any of the stories you find on his blog and welcomes all feedback.

  3. Yep, I’ve been directed here by lovethebadguy, who I always enjoy reading. I’m actually going to follow you purely on the basis of that line beneath your blog name “Just another author writing short stories instead of his novel…” That’s how I’ve felt for years about my writing but I’m too much of a wanker to admit it! It’s kind of taking the easy way out, isn’t it? But we are all guilty!

Also, I’m an Aussie too, and we should stick together! Look forward to reading more 🙂

I like the tagline for your blog – and the notepad theme. Two things I can definitely relate to!

  9. Just wanted to say a quick thanks for the critique on my mud prompt 🙂 It’s a wip so I’m always looking for feedback. Happy writing to you!

I wanted to let you know that I’ve nominated you for the “Very Inspiring Blogger Award”. I know not everyone likes these awards and you may already have one but it was just my way of thanking you for inspiring me in some way.  http://desireinspiration.wordpress.com/2013/03/21/i-found-some-inspiration/

    Hey Chris!

Glad to see that you’re still writing; thought I’d lost track of you when you disappeared from the Farcebook.

Found you through a little writing clique I’ve hooked up with directing me to The Lane of Unusual Traders, and saw your name.

Working on my own shorts and things at the moment (and my own neglected novel).

Love to keep up with you.
    xx

    • Hey Soph! Yeah, I dropped off Facebook – just got bored, I suppose. I’ve been busy (and I see you’re in Canadia) – always busy. Finally managed to stop working so much and get to writing more often (it’s nice to start making money doing something you love.)

A neglected novel (or three) of course, and more, more, more short stories. Hope you’re writing something for the Lane – seems to me that there are a whole heap of Australians making waves in the speculative fiction world.

I’ll have to get polishing and submit something to SQ Mag, too.

Chat to you on Twitter, eh?

Comments and criticism always welcome!
