At the prompting of the Trifectans, this is my New Year’s Resolution.
Wish me luck.
I love this! I need to do the same-hard as it can be! Good luck in your endeavor:)
Thanks, it is always the challenge, isn’t it? Although next year (this year, now) I’m going to write less shorts and try and smash out one of the three novels I’m working on…and I’ll need luck with that!
Amen! Amen! Amen!
Hallelujah, Diane! Have a great year!
I reckon we can all relate to that!
I figure that every year this will be my resolution. 1000 words a day will end up as a novel in three months. That’s what I’m focusing on. Maybe four months, though, so I can still write some shorts!
A great encouraging reminder for all of us!
Indeed, and hopefully it’s a resolution I can stick to!
LOve this 🙂
Cheers! Hopefully we can all do this!
Write important words
Not all my words are important, but I do try. More important words, perhaps.
It really is that easy.
Happy New Year.
Yeah, I’m going to kill it this year. Twenty short stories published? Pah. This year, at least ten, and a novel or two!
pretty straight to the point 🙂 Good luck and happy new year
Thanks Anne, good luck to you too! It’s going to be a good one, this 2014!
more words, more words, more words. 🙂 Here’s to more words!!!
MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE! I am becoming a glutton for word counts!
I’m with you on this one! Excellent resolution.
Happy New Year, Chris!
See you through the year, Kymm. I’ve got a feeling this year is going to drown beneath our word torrents!
How perfect, similar to mine as well — make the time. Make more time to write!
Happy New Year!
Let’s do it! Make more time, stop wasting that which we have!

Much luck wished your way! Very good words.
Thanks, Deanabo! Good luck for this year to you, too!
The writer’s Holy Grail, isn’t it?! Good luck in 2014 in getting that novel done. Happy New Year, Chris. 🙂
Thanks, Cobourg – it always will be the writer’s Holy Grail, just beyond reach! Hope 2014 turns out well for you!
Oh, you’ve got this one. Happy New Year. Thanks for linking up.
Thanks, Trifecta! Have a great 2014!
Boy, don’t I relate to that one! 🙂
I think it belongs to all of us, even to the most prolific of writers.
How many is More? Just curious. Happy new year 🙂
Well the blog comes to around 21,000 words, probably double that in other short stories and flash…and around 12,000 on various embryonic novels, so if I can write around 80,000 words I’ll be doing alright! Have a good 2014!
Cool! I’m cheering you on 🙂
That really is the key, isn’t it? Just write, write, write. Wishing you success with your goal in the new year!
Thanks Ivy, we just gotta keep scratching away at it, I suppose!
