Time Machine

I pushed in the clutch, easing up to the red light – I pulled up beside a van, dirty-white.

Just like mine.

I looked over, and he thrashed at the dashboard and the edge of the steering wheel.

Air-drumming.

He felt my stare, and looked directly at me, momentarily sheepish.

I’ll never forget the look on my face.
