Comatose

“Did you hear it this time? Sounded just like a sigh!”

Slowly, sinking into the blackness.

I can feel myself fading away.

Slowly, comatose.

“This is taking forever, I never click ‘Shut Down.’”

Written for this weekend’s Trifextra Challenge, a chance to practice a hallowed literary technique: personification.

  1. Ha ha! When I got this new Mac, I promised myself I’d shut it down regularly. That was. . .a long time ago. Tonight. You’ve inspired me.

Glad to see your name in the linkz!

Sleep or shut down? I prefer ‘sleep’ mode. Nicely captured.

We are a “turn off the lights when you leave a room”, “make sure the tap is turned all the way off”, “shut the computer off at bedtime” kind of family. Our iMac sleeps during the day but, gets shut down at night. Interesting take on the prompt. Love the completeness of your structure.
