He Came in Through the Bathroom Window

The phone rang at four a.m., echoing into the night. She rolls away, burying her face in the pillow’s secure embrace – he sits, watching her house, silently begging her to answer his desires.

Another Trifecta 33 word story using the prompt: The phone rang at four a.m. I hope you like it…

  1. Mel says:

Oh my. Stalker or ex-boyfriend, or both? Nicely done!

  2. This made me first think of a desperate lover, someone who’s not getting enough of her time. Then? Someone on the verge of ‘stalker’. Then? It made me think about something I wrote, called “Turned Around”. If you get a moment, there’s a search box at the bottom of my blog where you can find it. And then you’ll know why this distracted me to laughter. Lover, stalker, then a place where…well…this is what my crazy head thinks.
Either way? Of course I loved it.
    Came from the Trifextra linkup.

  3. El Guapo says:

    Creepy.
    Well done!

  4. Amanda says:

The title definitely seals the creepiness. I was thinking maybe she was holding out on forgiving a good guy…

  5. booguloo says:

This is how some people get hurt physically by not taking him seriously.

  6. Thanks so much for linking up to Trifextra. Remember, this weekend’s entries are being judged by the Trifecta community, so make sure you visit the site at the close of the challenge to vote. Our linking service will not allow you to vote for a link from the same computer where it was submitted, so plan ahead! Voting closes 12 hours after the close of the challenge. Winners will be announced with the Monday post. Hope to see you back then. (Again.) 🙂

  7. fghart says:

    Definitely creepy. Nicely done.

  8. karen says:

Yikes! Well played. I especially liked the audio image of “echoing into the night.”

I always answer my phone. I can’t help it. It is never on the floor we sleep on, and I nearly never catch it. Good think I’m not stalker bait, and never really have been. =)
